Workshop: Sean-nós Singing & Arranging

This workshop with Séamus and Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta offers an accessible introduction to the traditional Irish singing style of sean-nós. Open to all abilities, it will explore the core elements of the style including language, phrasing, expression, and ornamentation, with a focus on learning through listening and participation. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore arranging sean-nós songs, considering how traditional material can be shaped for different musical contexts. No prior experience is necessary, and all are welcome to take part at their own level. Approx. 90 minutes.
