St. Mary’s Church, Blessington

St. Mary’s Church is one of the most historic buildings in Blessington with wonderful acoustics and a strong connection to Russborough House. It was built around 1680 and its graveyard is the resting place of Russborough’s former owners Sir Alfred and Lady Beit, members of the Milltown family and “The Highland Lady in Ireland” Elizabeth Smith.
